Pamela Aall is senior advisor for conflict prevention and management at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) and an adjunct professor at American University. She serves on the board of Women in International Security and is a member of the World Refugee & Migration Council. She has co-authored and co-edited articles and books in the field of conflict management and has also written about NGOs in conflict environments. Her two forthcoming books are Responding to Violent Conflicts and Humanitarian Crises: A Guide to Participants (co-edited with Dan Snodderly) and Diplomacy and the Future of World Order, co-edited with Chester Crocker and Fen Hampson.
