This month, 14 refugee runners from the Middle East and Africa gathered in Montreal to run distances from 5 to 42.2 kilometres in the Longueuil Marathon.
They are part of a team started by WRMC member Jayne Fleming, director of our partner project Lamp Lifeboat Ladder, in 2022 with generous support from law firm Reed Smith LLP.
The running team helps support survivors in their journeys to resettle in Canada. Find out more and support Lamp Lifeboat Ladder’s work to provide protection and holistic accompaniment to survivors, and work with them to identify and address their needs.
