Ratna Omidvar, membre du Conseil mondial pour les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s et la migration, a d\u00e9pos\u00e9 un projet de loi, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.parl.ca\/LegisInfo\/fr\/projet-de-loi\/44-1\/S-217\">S-217 - Loi sur la r\u00e9affectation de certains biens saisis, bloqu\u00e9s ou mis sous s\u00e9questre.<\/a> in the Senate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme l'a not\u00e9 la Hon. Omidvar, la loi Magnitsky et d'autres lois permettent actuellement au gouvernement du Canada de geler les avoirs de fonctionnaires \u00e9trangers corrompus. Mais ce nouveau projet de loi demande au Canada de passer \u00e0 l'\u00e9tape suivante. S'il est adopt\u00e9, il autoriserait les tribunaux canadiens \u00e0 prendre les actifs gel\u00e9s des fonctionnaires \u00e9trangers dont la mauvaise gestion cr\u00e9e des d\u00e9placements forc\u00e9s et d'autres besoins humanitaires.
